Worker's Compensation and You
5 Easy Steps To Help You Get Approved

1.Report all injuries, even the smallest cuts to first aid, or if you are in a location without a first aider, write the details in the injury book and date it and sign it.  Sometimes even the smallest cuts can get infected and end up being a serious problem.
2.See a doctor immediately or as soon as possible if you sustain an injury that may cause you to miss work, or get treatment for your injury.  Tell the doctor that it is a work related injury.
3.Make sure the first-aider fills out his/her paper work with the details you have provided.
4.When you fill out the form 6, which WCB will send you, give specific details of injury and how it happened, including time and location and specific work conditions.  If you need help contact Dan Weiman at the contact numbers listed on this page.
5.Make sure that your information stays consistent, from what you tell the first- aider, the doctor and WCB.
